Up in Yosemite last weekend my iPhone 4s became a tyrant! I drove from place to place where I could get a Verizon connection to check my email only to discover I had an outstanding book order that needed attention by Monday. Guess what? I drove back, sent it in, and learned from IBM Sterling I'd sent the book order to them a day early. They're deducting $25 bucks from my payment for sending the books too soon! If I'd never checked my email I wouldn't have driven home a day early and I wouldn't have lost the $25 bucks. Better to hibernate on vacation and turn off that miserable iPhone the whole dang time! Would have saved me time, money and added anxiety . . .
