Mr Hip Guy
Beloved Grand Eagle
Some angel in this forum recently turned me onto Jeremy Whitacre and by extension his blog. I've been reading it (it seems dormant but there is a lot of material) and I am liking quite a lot of what I am reading. He's pretty much "basic Sarno" in his approach which is part of the appeal to me, but he has a lot of helpful stuff in general.
I wanted to call attention in particular to this entry:
https://www.mindfulcures.com/a-form...ain-and-why-back-surgery-will-make-you-worse/
Here he calls out the medical industry for willfully engaging in what they know are placebo surgeries. This is interesting to me as I have long given doctors the benefit of the doubt in that "they're just doing what they're trained on" but Jeremy instead says they are in on it and know that the pyschological aspect of the work they perform is part and parcel of the "cure." The kicker of course, is that they are making a lot of $$$ of their particular kind of cures and therefore generally shun people like Sarno and Dr Hanscom and their messaging.
Anyway, this may have already been discussed previously but I thought it was good food for thought. Also, I'm working my way through Jeremy's interview (also linked by an angel here somewhere), so providing that link below too for others to enjoy.
