Jekyll/Hyde

I wonder if it possible to pinpoint some relationships between the concept "divided mind" (Sarno) and the Dr. Jekyll.- Mr. Hyde syndrome.
Some people (goodist, perfectionist, responsible, hard worker, kind, ....in brief:
a very, very, VERY good person) are terrified of having "perverse", scary, unbearable, unacceptable feelings and thoughts (murderous rage, anger, hate, envy, gelousy,....against much beloved beings. That feelings and thoughts trigger guilt and/or shame of having "a monster" inside and generate an enormous amount of anxiety. Our brain detects that menacing "perfect emotinal storm" and generates pain , etc. in order to distract/protect us, so anxiety and its sources (rage, anger,...) remain far from our awareness.
