Itching?

Five years ago the outside of my foot started itching. I considered perhaps this was athletes foot. However, I had athletes before and this didn't scale like that did. And this was the side of my foot, athletes foot doesn't occur there. I out athletes foot medicine on it and it momentarily reduced the itch. Still, the itch was coming and going. Itch for a few days (badly), and then go away for a few weeks.

I would forget about it until it started over again.

I tried a different athletes foot medicine. Didn't work

I forgot about it for weeks.

Then it started again.

When it itches it's extraordinarily intense. I dig into it with whatever I have, my fingernails, the corner of tables, anything.

Then it doesn't itch for days.

Does TMS itch?

TMS isn't a condition with certain symptoms, per se.

I can tell you that I've had that super intense itch thing -- on my inner wrist area.
That was before I understood about how our brain creates these physical symptoms to distract from emotions.
At that time I learned that that intense itching can come from some kind of weird muscle tightness and histamine release so it makes sense that is a manifestation from TMS.
I didn't know it at the time so I used the physical approach which was to put as hot water as you can stand on it. It does make the itch go away for a (very short) period of time. If it happens again, I'm going to use my TMS techniques and I'm sure I will have much, much better results.

The good news is that that intense itch is nothing to worry about and it will go away. Especially once you stop thinking about it.
Remember -- feel symptoms -- think/write about emotions.
Don't symptom search, don't look at your itchy area, don't try to figure out. Let it be and think and write about any hidden feelings of anger, hostility, madness, not feeling loved, guilt, etc.
 
You should check out the thread about itching that I started about a year ago. TMS can manifest itself as itching, although not all itching is TMS.
