Yep, I do! (I've done the waiting 2 days thing for many years and the only item I've regretted not buying was a two tone jacket that I tried on in a clothes shop when on holiday in Germany in 1994! lol :D)
Yes, you're dead right about that, perplexity.ai is similar to ChatGPT etc.
They do say that experiencing TMS can be a 'gift' for sorting out other things in one's life!
Basic is good! That's all we can ever do... make the conditions as ripe for sleep as possible... comfy bed, darkened room, warm pyjamas etc... and peaceful slowed down breathing... and the brain responds. It's like with TMS, one loses the symptoms when one's made the conditions right... when one's truly and deeply convinced of what's going on (that the brain's causing the symptoms), one's recognised one's anger etc., and has done and continues to do 'the work', the brain responds and lets go.
Yes, me too, by 'osmosis' or something! That said though, I think that in reading numerous mind/body books to include Sarno, a lot of 'good mud' has stuck to my walls without me realising it because when I look back I can't really remember how I got from being bed bound to being able to function relatively normally by comparison. I know I took 'baby steps' in getting back to normal life, but with all the mind/body reading I've done, I think it's contributed to changing my 'default position' from viewing symptoms as 'physical' to viewing them to be 'psychological' (although my brain is still liable to try it on).

One of the reasons I have a set response to others on this forum where I bullet list the items that worked for me, is that I myself will remember them! Like you said, I look back at the way I was when I was at my worst and it's hard to see the concrete steps taken to get out of that mess. I know most of it was a mindset change, but what precipitated the mindset change? Most likely a whole lot of small pebbles started tumbling and led to the full rockslide. Getting pointed to Sarno's book was the first pebble.
