This is my second day on the program. I am hopeful but I have doubts that my condition is TMS. I've been to 3 doctors, 2 physical therapists, and waiting for an appointment to another doctor. Almost three years ago at the start of the pandemic I started having knee pain while jogging, I have had pain before so I assumed the pain would go away and it didn't. Its became progressively worse. I used to love yoga, aerobics, lifting weights, all kinds of movement brought joy to my life, that's how I handled the anxiety that I have always had. The pain in the knee became a pain in the whole leg and I started limping. The pain, stiffness and limping does not leave me for a moment, day or night, except when I seat on a couch and watch TV in a certain position. I've had injections, therapy, I've tried changing my diet thinking that there was something I was eating, etc., I've taken nutraceuticals that are supposed to relieve inflammation, to no avail. I've been fired by my physical therapists twice as they don't see any response. The first one sent me to have a knee replacement, the second recommended Dr. Sarno's books. I've read 2 of the books twice and thought that maybe I have TMS. I'm still exercising, not jogging anymore which is something I loved, but cycling, weights a little yoga but always with pain. I'm thinking that something is very wrong with me and I don't feel to even clean my house out of fear of hurting myself. I have been fired 3 times from my jobs, one of my siblings just had to be put into a home with Alzheimer's at a a very young age and of course I think of all the financial problems of not having an income at the moment. (although it seems that this is going to change soon, as I have been working on creating my own business and I have had a couple of job offers). Sorry for the rant, but if feels good to finally share in writing, puts things into perspective.
If anyone has any advise on how to proceed from here, please do. I do not want to live in pain anymore.
