Is this a symptom of TMS?

Hey,

Coming to terms with my lumbar disk herniations as being TMS. I have TMS and we all know by now that disk herniations don't cause pain.

What I am experiencing is when I take a step at a certain point in the foot flattening the pinky toe hits the floor and sometimes zaps. Its also a little numb.

Now that sounds like pressure on something hit a nerve when I step but there's no major structural issues.

It started when I started wearing new sandals shortly after my lower back results and did a few days of labor that had me crouching a lot. My pinky toe surely was abused in these three days but I was also so angry I was throwing stuff and yelling.

Sounds like TMS related but the way its manifesting has me concerned bc it never happens unless I'm stepping on that foot.

Yes, that can certainly be a symptom of TMS/the mind-body connection! Even when a symptom is confined to one specific area of the body, that doesn’t rule out TMS.

I’m not a doctor so I am unable to diagnose you, but please know it’s possible! Especially when you mention feeling heightened emotions just before this started. Almost everyone has worn tight shoes. Every single pair of new Air Jordans or Doctor Martens I purchased back in the day was designed to conform to my feet and unbearably tight at first. Don’t even get me started on my mother’s high heels and how blistered up she was whenever she bought a new pair - I still don’t get the hell she’d put herself through at times, haha. It is my assumption that your pinky toe would’ve healed by now. This seems pretty suspicious to me!

I always have to recommend that people see a doctor and get everything checked out first, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a result of emotions.

Haha all really good points. Since writing this, as I'm working on my lower back and hip it seems the toe stopped as well. TMS treatment is working so well. Im so grateful.
