There is always one individual who pioneers TMS method for a new set of symptoms and proves them to be TMS. Give it a chance!

I’ve read quite a few posts on this forum where people got their first symptoms following a pregnancy and a lot of times they were really weird like one leg was numb, but not the other. You can do searches with the magnifying glass in the top right corner and maybe you can find some of them and they might encourage you. But, I think TMS uses anything that happens to you to launch its attack. For me, I got way worse symptoms after Covid and there was no reason for it. It was just something that Scared me and TMS could use it to make my symptoms worse. It doesn’t really matter what starts the TMS or even what the symptoms are. TMS is an emotional thing and it has to do with your nervous system and anxiety. Don’t try to find the specifics related to how it started for you —just look for the solutions. They’re all the same.

I've not been on these forums a lot but I just wanted to let you know that your messages are much appreciated.

The last months have been hard on me and my symptoms have been either constant or worse. Unfortunately, everything actually seems to point towards real structural issues (namely, prolapses) that prevent me from doing all my favorite activities. Been doing PT for almost a year, no real progress. I'm going to see another urogynecologist as the first one was kind of dismissive and getting fitted for a pessary, hoping it won't flare up my pelvic pain.

I'm also thinking of asking my GP for antidepressants at this point. Feels like every mother around me is getting back to doing sports while I'm stuck with my stupid prolapses.

The comparison with other mothers is a big pressure on you. How do you feel when you couldn't do all the things you like after childbirth? Also the doctor you found dismissive of your symptoms could have nocebo effects on you.

The human live being is one whole thing and there is no separation between mind and body. In my personal view, every "structural" wrong except blunt trauma is influenced by mind. So doing the emotional work would help. Also human body could heal from so many things including very very severe symptoms, and that is directly influenced by human minds. Believing in that is very empowering.
