Introduction and Symptoms

WELL, thanks for the update, BUT, in all honesty I didn't understand any of the "scientific" gobbledegook and will make my best effort to erase it from my gray matter. This is the TMS site so we are hoping that our symptoms are due to TMS and NOT structural.

I've never heard of Bartonella and at the rate medical "science" is contriving new disorders to come up with their inability to treat, dx, or cure chronic psych0somatic pain, it's impossible to keep up with all the new etiologies. You've spent a shit-load of money and time on all these tests, when reading a book about TMS might be your salvation and cure.

O2 deprivation is only one of the Good Doctor's possible explanations for TMS pain ,that was early on, when he was focused on muscles, tendons and ligaments, because that was the area of specialty, rehab medicine. If you read his recent works, he states it doesn't matter what the mechanisms are to create the TMS psychosomatic symptoms, and we may never discover them, due to the complexity of the mind and the craftyness of our sub-c's in creating new symptoms--just like "modern science" is "creative" in coming up with new and expensive tests to explain why we ache.

Right with you on this. If you go to specialist doctors they all want you to have their "thing". If all you have is a hammer, everything loops like a nail. It's hard to grasps what havoc an overactive ANS can cause.

I would so love to hear from someone on this old thread. I'm having some of these weird symptoms now, including the drop of water one, and it would help to hear an encouraging word. I've come so far on my TMS journey, seen many symptoms come and go, but these are too weird (as is the world these days) for me to accept without a friendly boost. Thanks!

The way TMS manifests from day to day isn't important, though I know it can be annoying and frightening. The purpose is to distract us, so sometimes after we've become to wise to some symptoms being TMS, our brains then come up with even more bizarre symptoms to scare and distract us. The important thing is to be aware that it is TMS and treat it like any other TMS symptom. You've been successful so far, so you can overcome these symptoms too! Hang in there.
