Thanks a lot for your reply.
Thyroid issues are caused by chronic stresses/fear, so what is irrational in my fear is that you should address it the same way you do with TMS. However it is a scary symptom to deal with. It's also annoying. I just wish I could find a success story that really addresses what I feel. On the other hand, I don't know how you rule out HPV contagious.
My brain continues to be scared of this sensation, because it never really went away. When I had other TMS symptoms they would shift, or disappear.
I already know it's not dangerous. I eat and breath normally. I just wish it didn't scare my old brain, do I can finally be off this anxiety loop
You're welcome
There's a contradiction here as in the last sentence you said you know it's not dangerous, but then at the start you're fearing that there's a structural/physiological issue (thyroid issues, HPV etc), which has inherent danger. Your brain is scared because you still have fear of the conditions you talked about at the start. Once belief in TMS grows (assuming that is what it is) and in turn the fear of it being something else goes, then the fear will reduce (as is the case with any TMS symptom).
The other things you mentioned (it being annoying, it not shifting) aren't issues at the moment compared to the entertaining of ideas around it being something more sinister than TMS. That should be the focus first to rule those things out
