One of the things I love about the forum is the strong connections that we build with each other. But, people change their habits of visiting and posting on the forum, and it can be easy to lose touch when they don't post as frequently. So how do you keep track of people over time, and stay in touch with them? We actually have a great feature for this. It's simply called "following." This thread walks you through how to follow members and easily see their activity. I have also created a short video putting these steps into action, which you can see at the end of this post. You may have seen the blue "follow" link in the pop-up box that appears when you click on someone's profile image. Clicking on this is a quick and easy way to follow someone on the forum. You can also follow members by going to their profile page and clicking the Follow button in the top-right corner. You can easily see the activity of the people you follow using the feature Your News Feed. This is a custom news feed, similar in concept to Facebook's news feed, that shows you what all the people you follow have been up to on the forum. To easily access this news feed, hover over your username where it appears in the top right corner of the screen, and then click on "Your News Feed" from the drop-down menu that appears: You can also easily manage everyone you want to keep track of on the page "People You Follow." To get to this page, scroll down to the very bottom of your news feed and click on the gray button "People You Follow" You can also get to this page from the drop-down menu you used to get to your news feed. On this page, you can easily add multiple users to the list of people you follow from this page. To do so, scroll down to the very end of the page and enter the username or usernames of the people you wish to follow. Make sure you click Save Changes. You can also easily choose to stop following anyone on your list by clicking the "Unfollow" button to the right of their information. Happy following!
