Day 10 Hiding things

My person is definitely my mom. So many things I don't tell her on my mind. How angry I am that she lost the ability to adult after my stepdad died and I had to pay her bills, and never saw the money back. How I resent that she now lives with me for free. How she pawned me off constantly growing up on my grandma or how I only felt loved if I succeeded. How I think she judges me too much in my own parenting.

I will probably never bring up the money stuff. Not worth it to me. The rest, who knows.

I can relate to the feelings of anger towards parents, though not for the same reasons as you. I can only imagine how you feel having to to house your mom now.

I am a looong way from getting my crap together. However, I started having honest, low key discussions with my Dad over recent years. I didn't do it to make him change or have him say how sorry he was etc. I did it because I was sick and tired of carrying the weight of emotions each time we're together. I did it for me. It's stuff I should have said years ago. I always wanted to do the right thing and be nice (whatever that means), so I couldn't possibly speak up for myself. But, you know, being that way just made mad at everyone all the time. That's why I'm here now :)
