You actually did start a new thread! Welcome!
Go back out to the forums, choose one of the subforums to post in.
At the top of that page you'll find a blue box that says "post a new thread in this subforum" - open that box , and you can start with a title (it will say (no prefix) in the title box. Below it you can ask your questions, or type a message.
Old school forum style!

There is also a search bar at the top of each subforum - it is where the icon for the magnifying glass is...

Just above the words Support Forum (on this forum) to the right blue rectangle that says post a new thread. Only appears after signing in.
