Question
Hi
I have been diagnosed with TMS by a professional that im lucky enough to have in area, I saw her 1:1 and also went to a 2 day pain recovery programme. I managed to get over my back pain using the knowledge that it isn't anything serious or structural and that it was 100% TMS. I started to work out fully and my back pain is completely under control, which is amazing because I was being told it was due to having a meningocele repair at birth.
I managed to get over this using knowledge alone, but I know this isnt enough to address TMStotally and that I have a lot of work with journaling etc to do, which im attempting at the moment.
Since my back pain stopped I developed pain in my feet again (I have arthritis of both big toe joints), I wasn't too worried about this and started to apply some of the principles, which is when I developed a Hemmaroid, totally out of the blue and despite my healthY lifestyle (exercise 6 times per week, plenty of fibre, healthy toilet habits etc)
Im sure this is TMS, but im struggling to apply the principles like i did with the back and feet pain. I cant exactly go on as normal, because I have to be careful in the toilet, apply creams and modify my weightlifting routine etc. So im effectively telling myself its a problem and i have to live my life differently etc. I just wondered if you have any advice on how I could treat the hemorrhoid as TMS?
Im going on holiday in a few weeks which is adding to the stress of having a hemorrhoid. I have anxiety and witnessed my mum being stressed about holidays when I was younger, so holidays always have to be perfect for me and i always have to be in perfect shape when i go on holiday, which is probably why the hemorrhoid appeared so close to my holiday.
I know I need to journal about this, but I dont think that will be enough on its own, as im having to modify my life to stop the hemmaroid getting worse, but this seems to be feeding into my fear and suggesting that I have something wrong with me.
any tips would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
