Derek S. Help with multiple symptoms

Hi forest, im doing good, better than when i last posted. Thanks for asking ☺️
Im treating it like tms for sure. I've been meditating, journalling when i feel like it and just ignoring the symptoms. Ive been more open with my feelings and emotions and already i can feel my personality actually changing. ( no more people pleasing, putting pressure on myself, learning to say no etc)
Im more aware of my body( ive been practising mindfullness everyday when i can)and its reduced the fear of the sensations drastically. Somedays i just dont care what ever is going on down there( pelvic area) and other days i feel sad. But im feeling watever emotions need to be felt which is the way forward i guess.
At this point i feel good. The pain shifts nearly every other day which validates tms for me.
Ive had wrist pain left hand , foot pain, neck pain. Never had these before. The pain itself in my pelvic area keeps changing, i feel like different muscles are being targeted week by week.
Im still educating myself on ways to relax and read success stories whenever i feel i need to for that extra reassurance.
other than that im all good ☺️☺️ Thanks for checking up xx

Hi anisha, I know this is ancient history, but I'm having a lot of these same symptoms. Wondering if you made it out the other side?

Greg

Yeah, pretty much agree. I think some of them are helpful for acute injuries but the whole 'sign up for 10 sessions' hard sell really grates. I had a huge nocebo planted by an osteopath years ago when I was given the 'unstable SI joint' spiel and told I would end up in wheelchair...there was of course nothing wrong whatsoever with my SI joint.

Oh, as an aside I have downloaded the CureStress app you mentioned in the other thread...it is pretty good.[/QUOTE

Hi!!! I'm so sorry for a delayed reply I never really came back onto here because I was living my life! Lol yes I haven't had any pain down there for many years ,well if I do get the odd twinge I reassure myself it's TMS reminding me I'm not dealing with something emotionally and within a matter of minutes it's gone. I can't remember who told me this but I always remember the words "pain is an indication of how safe you feel" and it just hit home ever since I heard it. Whenever I feel pain anywhere in my body I ask myself what's bothering me, how I'm feeling and tell myself the sensations and pain will soon pass . And every single time it has xx hope this helps

Everytime I get the occasional pelvic pain I shift my attention to myself and ask how am.i feeling? Has someone upset me? Is something bothering? I answer these questions . And then I move on and carry on with what I am doing and the pain quickly dissapears. It takes a tiny bit of practice. Also whenever u can throughout your day ask yourself how am I feeling right now? Mad bad sad or glad? And be absolutely honest with your self when u answer the question. Don't judge your answer . The point of this is just to acknowledge how you feel nothing else. Don't assess or judge or criticise your thoughts just notice and let go. Your body will not trap these emotions . And it will just let them go x

Can i ask u hoe much time did take u to take care less and less? My Main symptoms are almost Gon but the symptom inperactive kicks inn most of the time. I know it's not a straitght líne. But it's kinda hard some times.

Question
Hi im new to all of this and really need some suggestions,i apologise for the long post also
Ive been getting pelvic and lower back pain sometimes upper including piraformis pain and body twitches and numbness and spasms for 3 months, this includes urine frequency and urgency.
The pelvic pain started first and was very acute which then led to the rest of the above.
Next is a little brief of my life:
Im 29 yrs of age have had history pf anxiety ocd and depersonalisation body symptons include tinnitus which has been chronic for many years, eye floaters, slight tmj all of which i attributed to the anxiety.
Now since the pelvic pain i have researched online pudendal nerve damage,( got extremly scared) too many horror stories. Anyway ive seen a physio and chiro who have mentioned my spine and pelvis are tilted and i have some overactive muscles in pelvic floor, ive been cleared for stds hiv. Also. My question is , would my tilted pelvis and spine be classed as "structural" issue? All of my symptoms historically and now keep leading me to think its all tmj but i havent had any ct or mri to rule out possible ms or neurological illness, the muscle spasms and body numbess could essentially all be tmj also . I dont know where to begin in this process of elimination. Its only been 3 months but im keen to seek guidance on when to pursue tmj approach.
Sorry for the long message! Xxx
Hi I also have had on and off terrible pelvic pain over the years and now realise it is TMS, I saw various specialists, urologists, gynaecologists, GPs, been on amitriptyline for 20 years (didn’t need it at all, due to anxiety, which I didn’t realise I had!) then 2 years ago paid to see a gynae/physio, was told my pain was due to pudendal nerve, tension in pelvic muscles not actually a problem with the nerve and had acupuncture. I have stopped doing the pelvic muscle exercises, stopped using tens on the acupuncture sites and have started running again. I’m 6 weeks into following Sarnos program and have hardly had any pelvic pain and learning not to be scared of it coming back. I am still suffering other TMS symptoms at the minute but the “pelvic nerve pain” is definitely TMS as all my investigations showed nothing wrong, had MRI, CT, US, Blood work - all negative. Hope this helps x
