I really appreciated the video of Dr. Schubiner last week where he outlines the treatment for TMS in four steps: learn that the pain is not structural; reduce your fear; resume your activities; and emotional expression. I've taken this to heart and I'm working on all of them. I'm following Nicole Sachs' JournalSpeak practice and I'm two weeks into it. I like that the SEP has given me something to work on everyday and a lot of hope. Before this, I didn't see anything about curing long COVID or daily headache. It's always, we don't know why it's happening and we don't know how to fix it! This gives me hope that I'm holding onto, while acknowledging my doubt and fear when it comes up. For resuming activities, I drove over to my sister's this morning and spent four hours with my niece and nephews and drove home. My headache is wicked now but it was worth it. I have hope that it will improve with time. I've received so much support in this forum. Thank you everyone for your encouragement and your stories!
