    I am looking for advice on how to start, I have had lower back pain and Glute pain mainly in my right butt for 5 years, then it dissipated to mainly my right glute for another 5 years and now it's back to from when it all started in 2007 .
    Sitting is my issue, hard considering I work in an office. I have also been through the mill of specialists you name your L 5 is the problem, your spine isn't straight etc. Personally I think my brain has a lot to do with this as I am a worrier & manage anxiety on top of a challenging job.

    You may want to check out this book--it's got an apt title, he gets right to the heart of your matter. It's an older TMS book, but nothing has changed--pure Sarno. Also if you're on your butt all day, you may want to look into one of those desk-toppers that spring up and allow you to work at your desk while standing :

    The worst thing for me is stiffening up after sitting or standing still--butt--after a few minutes of movement the joint juices start flowing and I'm good to go. If you listen to docs and the collective meme, you'll never get to that point out of fear of "doing damage."
