Thanks Buckeye--I really like your description of a muscle, I can visualize that. I'm an old jock and miss working out, this concept will really help. Glad to know the unconsious is not evil. I didn't really believe that, but studying this is new to me, so trying to figure how this all works. Your pointing me in the right direction
 
I think TMS symptoms come back or new ones start because we have to cope with life every day and it can wham us more days than others.

When I get whammed with anxiety or pain, I go back to the basics:
Dr. Sarno's 12 step daily reminders, and always deep breathing and pushing away negative thoughts by living in the present.
