Food allergies and anger

I'm keen to hear from others that have / had food allergies. I always thought it was normal to get really angry (enraged actually) when I eat gluten products, telling myself that it's some kind of allergic response. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking perhaps there's an emotional trigger to the food. I'm very interested to understand connections with emotions and triggers.

There is certainly a lot of emotion connected to food, much of it dysfunctional and clearly connected to childhood. You could undoubtedly do a web search on this topic, but I would advise not going too deep down that rabbit hole. So-called "food allergies" and intolerances are well-known in our world as being mindbody/neuroplastic/TMS, and they are very common amongst highly-sensitive individuals. I had them off and on all my life but never took them seriously until the year of my TMS crisis in 2011. Fortunately I discovered Dr Sarno before I lost too much weight from my supposed intolerances, and they quickly became a non-issue.

Anyway, unsubstantiated "intolerances" (such as gluten in non-celiacs) are very mild compared to some of the horrifying eating disorders which are nonetheless well known to stem from dysfunctional or traumatic backgrounds.

Thanks Jan. I have a feeling there's more to it that an allergy, and it's encouraging to hear there is a connection in the mind body space. I never had allergies until late teens and the pain is intense. On a TMS level it makes sense that emotional triggers can illicit these extremes. I'm sure I'll get to the same place doing TMS work without researching this stuff online. It's more out of curiosity for me. It's nice to hear from others who had similar experiences as it makes it more tangible. I've never known anyone with food allergies who have recovered before. I suspect there's more than a couple of individuals in this space.
