On another note, I'd really like to see a database of success stories, similar to that of the spontaneous remissions project. Who knows maybe someone in the TMS world is collating these success stories in a central repository.

I once put forth the idea of going through all the success stories on this site in a systematic way using a well-designed survey tool that would allow us to then see the similarities in what led to people's success, how long it took, etc. I also thought it would be helpful to do a 6 month and 12 month follow up survey with people who post success stories to see how sustained their success has been. However, I don't have the skill or will to do it myself at this time. However, I think it would be a good project for a PhD psychology student, perhaps for their thesis. Obviously, this doesn't have the weight of a double blind randomized research project, but I think the information would be helpful and edifying.
