Feeling so much better then back spasm making the bed?

Hi, I think I just feel fed up and need to hear a voice of reason. Had TMS in the past and cured myself but this time round in April I was doing exercises while tired and back went into spasms - it is now September and I have been doing the work for at least 6 weeks or more and was improving gradually although my stomach started to act up and is causing trapped wind/gas discomfort which gives me little sleep. However, everyday I did a little more and the pain had decreased but today after little sleep I was making my bed when I felt my back go into spasms. It feels okay - didn’t go out but not right. Have pulled back a bit but still moving around the house. What do you think caused this - I was sure I was nearly out of the woods. I am not letting it get to me and am basically ignoring it but not sure how to proceed? If anyone can shed some light?

Hi! If I had to guess I'd say it's a conditioned response. You told yourself the story back in April that your back went into spasm because you were tired (unless being tired caused you to have far worse form or posture than usual, I would be skeptical as to causation here - your back is no less strong structurally when tired and humans are designed to be able to accomplish tasks under a reasonable amount of fatigue). Fast forward and you're tired yesterday, because of this story your brain (subconsciously) is on greater alert when you're tired (because in your mind tired = greater risk of "injury"), so it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. That's under the assumption that this is TMS, but it sounds like it based on this.
