Hi all and hope every one is ok.

    Something profound struck me today
And I wanted to share on this forum.

I wondered if anyone else had experienced
    This FEAR of running?

I realised from last time I healed from
My back and leg pain, 3 years ago.
The pain went away but I was still
Afraid to run. I still didn’t run then.

    I haven’t run for about 5 years.....

I have pain leg and back pain again now
And I realised maybee I didn’t fully accept
The diagnosis last time and that’s
Why is come back. (Plus other stress)

I feel like to overcome this fear will be
To fully accept it, and I want to run to prove
To myself I’m ok and it’s TMS.

I am going to run and face my fear and tell myself there is nothing wrong with my
Hip or back, my body is totally normal,
    And all is well.

Then I’m going to run and build it up slowly
    And see what happens.

Maybee The pain will totally go away :)

Has anyone else experienced this fear of running ?

Haw Did you overcome it? Haw did it
Effect you in a positive way?

I feel like I need some positive advise
    From someone that experienced this,
    And I need some courage....

Thank you for all the help on this
    Forum.

    Sam

Understand what you mean about fear of running. So, I ordered myself a pair of Salewa gore tex trailing running shoes and when Amazon delivers them have taken a vow to just start running again and see what happens.

I know what u mean. I had low back pain with sciatica and after reading all of Dr. sarnos books I said to myself I’m going to run. I started slow and after a Couple weeks I was doing 8 mile runs along with 3 and 5 Miles a week. I was in the best shape of my life. Unfortunately I had a relapse recently with low back pain and spasms. I’m at the point where I need to start running again but still get pain when I start to job. But believe me I will be running again. Slowly but surely. Hope by the time you read this, you’re out running again.
