Day 25 Fear of running help please

    Hey all.

    I just wanted some advise on fear
    of running or encouragement from
    some one who has experienced this.

    I posted last week re fear of running,
    I ran in the park and before the run I
    had some pain, after the run I was pain
    free ??? I was quite shocked and I felt
    great walking home.

    Few days ago I ran again in the gym on
    on tread mill, I had a bit of tightness
    after and today some pain.

    Tonight I will go to the gym and enjoy
    a gentle workout, I plan to run again
    on the treadmill.
    I will tell myself this is safe all is well.

    I think it doesn’t matter if I have some tightness I will still continue to run and
    workout.

    Does this sound ok?

    Can anyone give me any advise on
    fear of running exercise?

    It feels great free and positive to be
    pushing myself and facing the fear
    and not letting it win.

    Thanks wish me luck for my run ??

    I didn't respond to this because I thought maybe a runner would do so - although I'm getting a really good sense that you're already engaging the mindset and self-talk that you need to be successful!

    This is the same technique that successful athletes use to achieve extraordinary results. I've used it, and still use it, to counteract lifelong exercise anxiety.

    My answer: keep up the good work!

    I will use self talk tonight when I run.

    I’m having a flare up at mo think is the
    Worry about my mum. Thank you for
    Your reply to that also, I will send an
    Upsent letter over next few days.

    I had less pain then yesterday I tripped
    Up a step only a little trip but it’s
    kinda caused more pain. Hip and back
    gone a bit backwards.

    I think I should take it as a sign I need to
    examine my emotions, I will re focus
    back into s e p.
