Fear of pain again

Raj s

Peer Supporter
My hand pain is reducing and I am on the improvement side. I have this great interest of playing some games, so I tried playing badminton yesterday for 45 mins. I slowly started to get pain in my hand. Eventhough I still know it is because of TMS, I am perfectly fine. I am not able to stop thinking about it. Is there anyone with such experience after improvements in pain say you started to play and get the pain. How do you manage or any suggestions from others..

Is this some sort of muscle pain I get due to playing for the first time. But i get the pain in the same area as before.. Everytime I hit a shot my mind automatically thinks whether this will cause pain or some thing like that.. I really love this and I want to play but this fear is holding me back. Also thoughts like I am still not ready let me hold back a little and then try after some time

Raj, you've just introduced your muscles to playing badminton, so it's no surprise to me that you felt some pain.
Some physical exercise is a great step toward healing from TMS pain, as Dr. Sarno and Steve Ozanich and others have said.

You love playing games like badminton and that's great for both your psychological and physical good health.
Don't spoil the benefits by worrying it will cause you more pain. That can happen if you think it will.
Don't think about pain, think about enjoying the activity.

I had a similar experience when I was healing for my lower back pain. I will fear that pain will come if I walk for long or if I did a lot of house chores. I think just the fear of pain will cause me pain. The more you tell your unconscious that you are physically healthy the easier it will get. It takes time to let go of fear.

Many people trying techniques for healing pain or losing fear like TAPPING, a combination of Chinese acupressure tapping
and MindBody and TMS. A real good video on it is free at YouTube:
"Louise Hay Sits Down with The Tapping Solutions' Nick Ortner."
She is a best-selling author on MindBody healing and shows how she does tapping, adding the spiritual element
she calls our Guardian Angel and which I call The Holy Spirit.

You could tap for relief of fear or anything else. It works for me and many others.

Some skeptics say Tapping is just a placebo, but I say if it works, that's what's important.
Our pain and fear is just all in our mind, and Tapping is one way to change it and get rid of the negatives.
