EXCELLENT 2018 article about the psychological basis of chronic conditions

My how time passes. This article is already 7 years old, and 100% in line with our work. It quotes Tor Wager of the Boulder Pain Study, it quotes Alan Gordon and mentions PRT being trial-tested, talks about the power of the placebo effect, and even briefly mentions Dr Sarno as a pioneer. Apparently the patient who is the central focus of the article finally abandoned his medical search and his opioids after reading "Think Away Your Pain" by Dr. David Schecter.

Overall this is a VERY comprehensive article that should be read by everyone just learning about this work and bookmarked by all of us. Plus, there's no paywall to read articles on Vox (although I'm a donor/supporter - I think they offer important and independent journalism, but I'm probably biased).
