  1. Hi everyone!

I was recently a guest on a podcast where I share my journey with chronic pain (TMS), what triggered it, and what I did to overcome it. Posting it here in hopes it helps others!

I try to check the bona fides for posts from brand new users who include links, but I don't have an instagram account and I'm not a citizen of the apple universe. That looked like a safe link that I was willing to click on, but the result was obscure, and I wasn't even sure it was a legit TMS recovery story. I finally clicked through several links and found a direct url with complete information about the episode along with a useful timed transcript of topics covered that indicate yes, it's our TMS.
The podcast info says it is 50 minutes and is titled "Overcoming Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy"

  3. The title of the podcast may throw people off, but as long as they're on the Emily's Chronic Pain Success Story episode, they're in the right place. And yes, it is definitely about TMS!

    Hi @painexplained_tms,

I was just diagnosed with tendionosis on MRI of the hamstrings and some partial adductor tears in the area I am healing a stress fracture (not treating that as TMS). The hamstring tendinosis was graded as mild and bilateral and I have only been swimming lately due to the stress fracture (I normally cycle, run, swim). What is odd is the stress fracture and adductor stuff is on the left side and while there is some SI edema on the right hip, the right hamstring and hip after swimming has been hurting quite a bit despite minimal kicking/small kicks. Yet it's only the right side when the MRI showed both side. I am also getting heavy and weak like feelings down the legs and burning into the feet/nerve pain similar to the writer above. I struggle to take days off and took one off yesterday but I can't tell if this is just an incidental finding and now my TMS mind is harbored on this. I have only been swimming the last three weeks with minimal kicking. I have other TMS diagnosed symptoms I have been working on but curious your input if possible on this?

These two article gave me hope that it's TMS but I'm worried its overuse or physical still considering the stress fracture (pelvic) I also originally thought was TMS.

If you have any input that would be great! I am a PA-C myself which makes this a bit hard to undo medical conditioning for me.

I posted this for Fred Amir as well on another thread seeing he had responded to someone but curious your input. I've been doing the TMS work for close to two years now but know things take time and everyone's journey is different.
