Hi everyone,
As you may know, Fran Sommer-Anderson, PhD, SEP is one of the psychologists who worked most closely with Dr. Sarno. She was trained by him at the hospital where they worked together and then closely collaborated with him on many patients over the course of over three decades.
She just sent me a link about a presentation she is giving this fall at a conference in NYC.
Her book with Dr. Eric Sherman about TMS is called Pathways to Pain Relief. Dr. Sarno wrote the forword. Reading it is about as close as we can get these days to working directly with one of Dr. Sarno's core psychologists (without flying to NYC).

Anyway, here is the flyer for her fall presentation. Her presentation is during the fourth session and is entitled "Pain treatment in the trenches: A case-based perspective on the relationship between emotion, pain, and recovery."
I hope you find it interesting. I am encouraged to see that someone who was trained by Dr. Sarno and worked with him for 33 years is now presenting her work at conferences hosted by the American Psychosomatic Society. I bet that this gives Dr. Sarno real pleasure and even some hope for the future.
