What was the most disheartening thing a doctor has told you about your symptoms? In what ways have you kept that in your mind?
I actually had very caring doctors/chiropractors along the way that I appreciate for their kindness. I think the most disheartening thing was what they didn't say:
I actually had very caring doctors/chiropractors along the way that I appreciate for their kindness. I think the most disheartening thing was what they didn't say:
- If you come back to me for back pain...all I have to offer you are muscle relaxants, imaging, physical therapy, and pain medication...all of which you've already tried...and all of which didn't prove to be a long-term solution for you. (I haven't gone back to a doctor for even very bad episodes of back pain because I already knew I could basically replicate their advice from home)
- At the chiropractor: You'll have to keep coming back three times a week over the course of months to properly realign your back, muscles and heal your nervous system. If your back hurts, you HAVE to come back to us for any sense of relief. You don't have any power yourself.
