    Hi All

I currently have 2 bulging discs in my lower back - causing Sciatic symptoms in my lower back, right buttock and slightly down right thigh.

Been told no op needed as my bulges aren't that bad.

My main problem - is my right buttock - nearer the middle of my body - is very tense, and when i sit it feels like i'm sitting on a rock - i can't drive at the moment, can barely sit down.

I've had these tense/rock feelings for 4 years on and off , yet only had bad back for 6 months.

Hence i think i have 2 problems - discs/sciatica - which i can hopefully heal myself - but also pelvic pain problems - caused by a tight rhs lavator ani/pelvic floor - tense muscles, effecting nerves, causing inflammation/soreness etc..

And yes i'm a complete stress head - store my stress in my psoas/jaw/pelvic floor - hence why i've joined this group.

So - what book do i download to read first please?

I'm aware there are workbooks, cds etc that come with the printed versions - but i want to download the ebook to my tablet. Can i do this and get all the accompanying workbooks , spread sheets etc - and if so which one do i choose - Sarno or Schubiner please?

    Thanks!

Hi Steve! I had very similar issues--specifically pelvic pain and nerve issues also really bad psoas stuff. I tried Schubiner and the workbook didn't help me at all. I found the Divided Mind really helpful. Let me know if you have any questions :)

    Hi Julie

Thanks for the reply - appreciated :)

Yes i have pelvic pain - specifically on rhs levator ani - well virtually all my right side down there.I sit in my car or on a soft chair and it feels like someone is stabbing me with a hot knife - next to sitting bone towards the middle - on my pelvic floor basically - so i know it's nerve related - or tight/tense/weak muscles effecting the nerves there.

I keep being told by doctors/physio etc that my problems are due to my sciatica - yet i've had these problems on and off for 4 years - so i think the sciatica is either effecting something that is already damaged - or in fact my sciatica isn't all that bad - and i need to deal with my pelvic pain issues seperately.

I've been every stressed lately - this seems to have got a whole lot worse as my stress levels have gone up - i've been walking around with a really tense jaw, my rhs psoas and hip are so tight - and both buttocks very tense - like i'm tensing my fist - but instead it's my jaw and buttocks!

Do you think "the divided mind" is the right book for me please?

Also - just looked at your website - wow - that sums me up! Unfortunately i live in UK - but was going to travel to the US for the wise/anderson clinic a while ago, Then thought about Philadelphia (my work is an American Computer Company - i've been to our Philadelphia HQ before for IT training - and found a Spine specialist based there - so was also thinking of that - A Health based holiday!) is this something you could help with please- either Via phone/video etc as per your site - or i even combine it with a holiday to New York - hey why not - I need some answers and I know the answer is out there somewhere!

    Any advice appreciated :)

Divided Mind is the best place to start, I think. Also check out . Nicole also has a podcast.
