Question To Ponder
Are you having success at recognizing the emotions connected to your pain? If you have, how do these emotions make you feel? If not, what do you think is preventing you from doing this? If you feel comfortable sharing, then post your response in a thread in the Structured Educational Program section of the PTPN's discussion forum. We would love to hear from you.
My current TMS symptoms are a constant feeling of pressure and congestion in my forehead and nose, along with the sensation that something is blocking my thinking. It feels similar to brain fog, and these symptoms are present 24/7.
Because I live with these symptoms all day, they have been accompanied by a strong sense of frustration. It has been difficult to fully absorb and engage with things the way I used to, whether I was studying, focusing on important tasks, watching movies, or having conversations with friends.
However, since discovering this program, I have started to realize that I was unconsciously creating additional stress and negative emotions in response to the symptoms themselves. Now, when I notice those reactions arising, I try to acknowledge them and let them pass instead of getting caught up in them.
