Day 8

Francesca

Peer Supporter
I' am almost certain that I have TMS, and I believe I’ve already noticed some small improvements over the past 10 days. I also think that, even before learning about Dr. Sarno, I had spontaneously and naturally adopted some of his strategies at certain times, simply because I couldn't stand feeling trapped in the medical world anymore.
However, the fact that physical therapy was very helpful to me and that I had been doing it consistently for a year and a half—because it helped me feel better for a limited time—may have actually fed my TMS even more.
I care about my physiotherapist—I believe her approach helped me a lot—but I also believe that at some point I need to find the strength to step away from her and see what happens. It’s been five weeks since my last session, and two weeks since I started swimming regularly... which more or less coincides with my first reading of Dr. Sarno’s book.
Since the beginning of May, I’ve read two books and I’m now re-reading one of them.
Thanks for reading
