This is the first time I've done this type of meditation without someone guiding me. I really like the idea of checking in with my body. I followed the directions with my own spin by focusing on body parts, and sending light and positive energy/affirmations to them. The whole thing felt like worthwhile self care. Kinda serendipitous that I'm reading a book about a character who heals herself of trauma through work like this and today of all days we skip the journaling and do this meditation in the SEP. Awesome.
