Day 33 - the struggle within

I had a bit more clarity today. (It could even be the Creatine I’m taking for bodybuilding as it is thought to help the brain with intelligence/reasoning.

TMS is not your fault. Your brain has 3 parts. The ego (conscious), the superego and the id. The id is the one that panics and gives me anxiety because it is immature. This reptilian part of out brain goes into fight or flight and if it can’t fly it fights. The super-ego also freaks out because if things aren't perfect and good then it stresses out. The fight is internal and manifests as stress in the body usually somewhere we already know is a sore point or previous injury but not always. If it can’t stress in one place it will move somewhere else where it knows it can manifest easily. That’s the symptom imperative at work. I understand it more today than ever as I feel the struggle within.

I can see this more clearly today. I’m looking forward to tomorrow (Saturday) for a change.
I normally hate weekends. Weekends are more work than weekdays at work!

This is great insight! Thank you for sharing it!! You aren’t alone on the weekend thing- I can get that way too. I hope your weekend goes great!

Back in the day ("before Sarno" I would get what I called "5-ibuprofen headaches" - almost always on a weekend with nothing scheduled. Even back then, I recognized that there had to be a mindbody mechanism at work. Once Dr Sarno explained it, I never had one again. Mind you, I had plenty of other symptoms that took more work, but I think I already had that foreshadowing about the nature of the headaches.
