Day 3

The last time I attempted a workout was the summer of 2019 which was only a few months before my right shoulder froze completely in early 2020. Even before that, though, I struggled to do any kind of workout without fighting some kind of knee pain or something. I was quite fit when my father passed in 2006 but since then, I always seem to end up with knee or back pain if I so much as try any kind of exercise. These days, I don't even feel strong enough for a walk so I'm going to have to start slowly and build up. I miss being fit so this is definitely a part of my life I would like to reclaim as I work through this program.

You got this, start small and set a goal everyday to complete some sort of movement. I’m only on day 7 of this program and I’m seeing things happen!

I know you can do this. I think where the money is made is when pain crops up during a workout (or after) and you bring that mindful, nonjudgemental, curious awareness to it rather than catastrophizing. I have found that I am starting to be able to tell the difference between real pain and tms pain by doing this. Keep it up.

Oh boy do I ever know about catastrophizing! Awareness is an amazing thing. Thank you!
