Seems the list could go on and on. Just a few:
Alcoholic dad pointed shotgun at us when I was maybe 10-12. I took the youngest kids and ran. Stood in the middle of the street and didn't know what to do.
Abusive sex addicted second husband beat me in front of my toddlers while telling me he had been planning all day how to kill and dismember me.
Oldest son died at 28
Youngest daughter suffered many years of mental illness (starting at about 8) which was all consuming for the family
Yup...I think there are at least a few things that could cause sadness, grief, rage etc.
