Hi ashoo79,
I am not sure if you know these things, but I mention this in response to you.
Dr. Sarno: possibly not a perfect quote, but close: "To be perfect and good is enraging to the Inner Child."
Andy's story: 8 surgeons ready to cut, multiple diagnoses of severe plantar fasciitis, nerve entrapment, nerve damage, peripheral neuropathy. Didn't take one step without pain for over three years. Now I dance on hardwood floors, ski, hike. No problem.
I am not completely sure of the issues which caused my TMS, and I could never trace it to any childhood difficulties, other than the typical ways I felt not loved, like anyone does. I base the TMS for me on my personality, just as you describe.
but I still wonder that really is this severe pain really caused by our traits which are picture perfect people of this society. to whom people look forward to see as perfect people. is this what is harming us.
It doesn't take any more than that, believe me! There is incredible tension going on down there, severe suffering that does not want to be felt!
