Day 24- the emergence of secondary issues

I have definitely had other issues come up since I have had pain free days. Ive had tummy issues, heart burn, neck pain, brain fog and I wondered if a recent cold was actually TMS because it lingered for so long. I worked through it and the symptoms subsided that day or a couple days later. I find it's hard to deal with symptoms when anxiety rises and fear of other issues kick in. If I stay calm and don't allow my beautiful brain to go on its own unchaperoned trip, I can work through it. Knowing is 1/2 the battle! FOR REAL! The self-knowledge I have gained along with the education on pain and TMS was what I needed to start to heal.
Releasing the Fibromyalgia diagnosis, practicing self-compassion, understanding the reason for the pain and the brain science around where in the brain pain is experienced, where emotions are experienced and how its related has been key for me.
Have you noticed any positive changes in your life while going through this program?
I have pain free days!! I want to be more active. I am still working on the fear around higher levels of physical activity. Slowly increasing activity while remembering that my muscles have been deconditioned from the years of inactivity due to pain. I'm giving myself GRACE and working with my inner critic to motivate in another way. During work hours my watch reminds me to move every hour. So I have started to get up, put on upbeat music, a timer and just move for 5 minutes. Sometimes I dance, other times I do body weight exercises. I am up to 5 minutes 6 times a day, give or take. It adds up!
Walking is easier, I don't get so stiff. I did 10 minutes a couple times today! The fear is real though and when I wake with sore muscles the anxiety kicks in. Self talk helps, reminding myself about the education. Today, I have my last appointment with my osteopath. I noticed my pain increases when I am a week away from the appointment, clear indication its TMS lol
I have some grief around letting go of the people who have helped me. Ive seen him for 3 years and he helped me get here. Its time and he will understand.
