Yes, my parents fought a lot while I was growing up, there wasn't a lot of warmth in my family in general and our house was in constant disorder. So yes, I have problems with confrontation: I become very emotional, I get defensive around people and retreat into my shell a lot, and of course, I micromanage. Luckily I was aware of this things and managed to let go a little. Step by step I think it had to happen because it was too stressful to try and be in control of everything but I'm still learning and there is a long road ahead. Being aware of the anxiety this behaviours cause does help but some days I just can't control the nervousness and stress because of outside triggers. Hopefully with practice, it will get better.
