Day 15: Symptoms always changing

David B

Well known member
My symptoms are constantly changing. per Dr Sarno only the sympathetic nervous system can do this so no question it reinforces its all just MBS. Most amusing, well I working to embrace the amusement when it happens, is when they move many times in a matter of seconds. When my brain gets really crazy, eg it moves to some completely new part of my body, I can actually tell it to stop and it does almost instantly. Now I have to tap that ability for the stronger and more persistent symptoms.

A big signpost happened yesterday. Watched the Duke Texas A&M game in a big soft couch with virtually no symptoms late at night. a combo that reinforces its my attention to the symptoms and my expectation thats driving and even creating them.

Hi, David. You're discovering one of the big "secrets" of TMS healing... switch your interest from pain to whatever
helps you forget it. A good football game can do it for many of us.

I'm a Michigan State alum so I'll be watching the Rose Bowl today. Go Spartans!

In between using the snow blower because we're have a heavy snow "old-fashioned" winter.

Great win yesterday! Yes Walt this is the next phase for me. I am working on not expecting pain, not looking for it and focusing on other things. Positive thoughts, activities that require focus.
