I started again today and I realize that what Dr. Sarno said about many TMS patients wanting to be cared for is part of why I have TMS. I never received nurturing from anyone, even as a child. I’ve always been on my own to take care of myself and even in my current situation. I’ve always had to beg for love even from people who claimed to love me. Love for them was being in the room, for me it was expecting to receive anything resembling what I gave them.
It’s similar to the lack of reciprocity in friendships I mentioned a few days ago. I’m the one who helps everyone else but they never help in return. Maybe they don’t think I need it. I’m tired of begging everyone to see that I need care too. I got some more test results in today which ruled out more conditions so it’s really helping me to believe it’s TMS. I can’t believe how strong the pain is from it. I’m grateful that’s all it is, but don’t understand how it can be healed. I guess I’ll find out soon.
