    Hello!
I just started the program and am feeling a bit hopeful. I have vulvodynia which reoccurred for me after being well for about 10 years. I went through a weeks long stressful experience that left me feeling scared. I felt a twinge and did self PT ineriorly. 2 days later 1 felt the twinge and did the same. I went into a 2 day flare and have had problems ever since! Part of me feels very hopeful about this program and can see that stress and anxiety predisposed me to restarting up old pain pathways. I mean how is it I was fine 3-4 weeks ago and now I’m not? It doesn’t seem real! On the other hand symptoms do seem real and I can see thinking “ Here we go again.” So there’s that conflict that I feel. Last time I recovered gradually. I took pain meds after sex. I avoided irritants and wore soft clothes. I had the problem for a few years. But daily systemic meds didn’t help me. They did but side effects were too difficult. Anywho I think TMS programming can help me and I like the structure of this program.

    Sounds like TMS to me!

Neuroplastic symptoms are just as real as those caused by a structural issue :)

Assuming that your pain is fully neuroplastic and isn't caused by a structural problem (I can't tell you that for sure), then it's not so much that TMS work can help you, it's that you have TMS - so rather than it being a tactic to treat your pain it's the only solution.

Looking forward to hearing your updates :)

Yep, @AnnGG, a leading expert in the mind-body field, Dr Howard Schubiner, said this: "It turns out that our brains are constructed so that emotional injuries activate the same parts of the brain as does a physical injury and most doctors have no idea that that's true." I understand that this has been shown to be the case in research using fMRI scanning and thus it essentially means that the pain you are feeling is very real.
