Day 1

Hi - I have had chronic pain for several years, starting with my back over 20 years ago, and then other issues with arm pain, chest pain, neck pain, foot pain etc. Then about 6 years ago I had a bladder infection then pain that didn't go away and ended up being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I've tried a variety of solutions including medication, PT, stretching, resting etc. but no one thing helps. I decided to read Dr. Sarno's Mind Body book and it really made sense to me, esp the pain moving around, it always seemed that one thing would get better and then another would pop up. I read the first book about a month ago and also read Dr. Sarno's Back book. Now when I get pain I remind myself there is nothing structurally wrong with me and this is just my brain distracting me. I decided to go through the structured learning program to really delve into this process and get better.

Hi SSS, and Welcome!

So many have gone through this process, and particularly the SEP with great success. Please post updates, questions, ideas. FYI, some of the links are broken in the program, but you can probably Google and find the links, or something similar. Don't let this slow you down. You're on your way!
