I have and still am suffering from pain in my forearms and wrists, I've had this pain for the last 3 years. The pain only comes on when I am at my desk working (operating my mouse).
I originally went to a chiropractor who could not help me, i went to 3 hand surgeons who could not accurately diagnose my condition. After various other methods i decided to have carpel tunnel surgery which did absolutely nothing. I then stopped working for 4 months thinking that resting the limb might solve the issue, this never worked as when I returned to work the pain came on straight away. It got so significant that i started using my mouse with my left hand. You won't believe what happened next... The same pain developed in my left arm/wrist (the symptom imperative as Sarno describes it).
I then came across Dr Sarno's book Healing Back Pain which i read, i then went on to read the mind body prescription too. The pain went away for about a month for most of the day but would come on at around 3-4pm. This last week the pain has come back to the same level it was originally at, so I'm back at square one.. I completely believe in the diagnoses as I've tried everything under the sun and truly do believe that my arms are perfectly fine. Additionally after reading the books the pain did go away temporarily for about a month.
So here I am, I want to give it a proper go using the Structured Educational Programme. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated!
