I’m revisiting this program again, a littler over 2 years after my first go. The first time I did this program my main issue was fibromyalgia. After doing this program and working with a private coach, my symptoms were pretty much gone. Life became much more manageable. Even my lifelong digestive issues were incredibly tame. Life became much simpler and I felt a sense of mastery over my symptoms. I still had occasional flare ups, but I knew how to handle them.
Then the migraines started, after I spent a few days camping somewhere known for having horrible air contamination from pesticides and other chemicals. Funny thing is…I’ve camped there before. I wore a mask almost the whole time I was there and did a nasal rinse every night. But a bunch of my friends got sick with various illnesses afterwards, and for me the migraines started about a week after. How strange - a whole week after I left. And while I’ve suffered with occasional migraines in the past decade, now they’re coming at least once a week, almost always on Saturday. I feel like I’m always fighting them off, and often have a mild headache.
At first I blamed polluted air. Then alcohol. Heat. Air conditioning. Dry air. Sun. My meds. Supplements. Herbs. The problem is, I haven’t majorly changed anything - my life is fairly the same since the migraines started, minus the fact I was planning for an international move. I hadn’t even moved yet when they started! And I really backslid on my TMS. I started avoiding all sorts of things to avoid the migraines and they’re still here. I think part of the reason they’re getting so intense is they’re SO GOOD at generating fear and getting my attention. Pain sucks, digestive issues suck, but migraines make life unbearable in a whole new way. I can’t even think, watch tv, anything. The pain consumes me. And I would do anything to avoid it.
so here I am. 2 years after I thought I was all good. Thinking I may even need to see a doctor just to prove to myself, yet again, that there’s nothing wrong and I’m just avoiding the stress of the move. Being 1000 miles from my friends, my family, my work, everything that previously gave me a sense of normalcy, my sense of self. This whole thing is hard enough without the excruciating pain. So now I’m back to this and I’m so grateful it’s still here.
