Laughter DANNY KAYE IN THE COURT JESTER. VERY FUNNY

This is one of the funniest scenes in a very funny movie.

Danny Kaye was such a good man, besides being so funny.
He gave up his career at its height in order to be active in
United Nations work for children.

I'm surprised that anyone younger than I remembers this very funny movie. (younger than 80, that is!)

 

I'm 84 and remembered the movie well. I still laugh my sides out at this scene.
How the actors ever got it right is beyond me.

 

I loved this movie, and all of Danny Kaye's work. He was terrific as Hans Christian Anderson, and of course in the classic White Christmas. My first dance recital was to 'Knock on Wood' from his movie of the same name. Thanks for bringing back some great memories! I'm younger, but I recall all of these terrific films! I think I need to add 'The Court Jester' to my DVD collection - I haven't seen it in years.
