Hi all I recently stumbled on the site: Meetup and can highly recommend it for connecting with like-minded others. It's very active in Australia and US too. Basically type in to the search for example: "mindfulness" or "EFT" etc, and up pops all the groups within your neighbourhood that get together regularly. I've signed up to several in my area and they're a great way to also meet people with common interests. As they say in Australia "Knock yourself out" - go for it! http://www.meetup.com

Yes, it's quite a good resource. I find people to hike with at times.

I tried it but did not like it. Plus there were only minfulness events in my area.
    I deleted my account.

Create your own meetup group Markus - take the initiative if the options are limited. You might be pleasantly surprised by the folk you will meet. So one group wasn't to your liking, so try another...

Yes Ellen I have connected with a running group as well as mindfulness and EFT groups. Some single friends of mine have made life-long friendships through this site too:)
