Ran across this MS PowerPoint presentation last night and thought it would be of interest to TMS community because it makes a distinction between PTSD and Complex PTSD that seems to give more details about the distinction between trauma with a little T (developmental trauma from childhood etc.) and catastrophic trauma with a big T (roadside bomb, traffic accident, physical assault):

Seems to echo what Gordon, Schubiner and Levine are all saying about the genesis of TMS symptoms and I was wondering if any of our members had anything to add here? Seems as though "somatization" as a symptom typical of Complex PTSD resonates rather well with a TMS diagnosis for the generation of chronic pain. Complex PTSD sure sounds like it's really TMS based on long-term developmental trauma.
