If so, how would you manage it?

    Hi, jf77.

Dr. Sarno and others do say that fear can cause TMS pain. It's part of the "fight or flight" concept. Fear is often a result of worrying about what might happen, so living in the future is not healthy for mind or body. Living in the present combats fear.

There are many good books on both overcoming fear and living in the present and its benefits, and for a quick "fix" there are free videos on Youtube on fear and living in the present. Keeping positive and telling your self a positive mantra also is helpful.
