BRAINSWAY TMS IS NOT DR. SARNO TMS

I recently came upon an Internet article about Brainsway TMS and thought at first it meant
the TMS we discuss in the TMSWiki -- Dr. Saro's TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome).
Brainsway TMS is also MindBody healing, but through a different technique than we use.
I haven't tried it, nor do I itend to. I think it is unnecessary if one follows the TMS of Dr. Sarno and this web site.

funny enough this is how I stumbled across TMS in the first place. I watched a BBC Horizon documentary on Pain and a Dr Turo Nurmikko is using targeted magnetic stimulation with great results. I even tried to get onto one of his studies and thought about trying to build my own brain zapper! thankfully I didn't/

Off hand it sounds a little like a milder form of electro-shock therapy, which was Hollyweird sensationalized to look like you were being electrocuted or getting a bad perm. It's starting to get back into favor again I hear. Dr. Sarno says surgery is our best placebo, maybe sticking your finger in a light socket will liven up your life enough to distract you from your TMS affective depression distraction--don't know if a USB port will have enough juice though. I really don't know a thing about this "TMS", I came across it once myself in a search, many acronyms look alike, my apologies to Dr. Turo N., since I don't know a thing about his TMS, what ever works.

There are cases where someone has had actual nerve injury/damage that Im not sure would apply to the Sarno approach. one lady featured had a stroke and was left with a clenched arm/hand. Using the TMS zapper they targeted the Neocortex precisely and it resest the muscle clenching. Hopefully its on youtube. It was really moving to see someone get relief from pain after so long, she began to tear up.
Electroshock therapy is remarkably effective for the most intractable cases of depression. the meds only help a minority of people.

My father in law had seizure a few years back. It snapped him out of the darkest places of his life long depression. Doctor said he had seen this before, sort of like a reset for the brain. Granted, my FIL is anything but a happy dude but the edge to his orneriness is less.

Interesting replies to Brainsway TMS. Electro shock therapy did a lot of damage years ago.
Maybe it or similar treatment is better today. A friend's wife recovered from deep depression
and other mental illness through psychotherapy.
