Has anyone heard of using beta blockers to help with anxiety induced muscle tension??? My doc has given me some propranolol to help ease anxiety which makes my pelvic pain worse.

I took a beta blocker for almost 20 years, but stopped a few years ago. It helped with anxiety, but had no effect on muscle tension or my TMS symptoms, including the migraines it was prescribed for.

But surely anxiety makes the tension worse

I can only speak from my experience. I no longer have TMS pain, and I did when I was taking the beta blocker. Beta blocker did not lessen or eliminate chronic pain for me.
